Artist Neng Yang Joins OCAC Community as Golden Spot Artist-in-Residence

Neng Yang has joined OCAC as Golden Spot Artist-in-Residence for Summer 2018. Funded by the Ford Family Foundation, the Golden Spot Artist-in-Residence benefits Oregon artists over 30 years of age with significant exhibition records and professional achievements.  

Neng Chiang Yang was born in Wuhu, Anhui Province of China. He earned a BFA in Painting from China Academy of Fine Arts and an MFA in Painting from Indiana State University in 1997. He has taught and worked at Huaibei Normal University, Morehead State University, Ohio University, and Western Oregon University. Currently he serves as the Assistant Vice President at Western Oregon University.

He has participated in solo and group exhibitions at The Sheldon Swope Museum of Art in Terre Haute, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Alexandria Museum of Art in Louisiana, and Parthenon Art Museum in Nashville, Lexington Art League, Morehead State University, Indiana State University, Western Oregon University, New York Asian Culture Center, Guizhou University of Nationalities, and many galleries.
